    Sorry if this question has been posted, but I can't find the answer. I have a summary report showing a list of vendors, and the amount paid for a defined period of time. We have 2 fields in this report "Vendor" & "Purchased" (summary field) in the report. We didn't purchased anything from some of the vendors, but they still show in the report. I would to only show vendors that have an amount in the "Purchased" field. Thank you.
  3. Sorry, I should have been giving more info before asking this question. Mac OSX 10.6 where the databses reside. FM 12 Advanced. Trying to access it at a remote location with a Mac OSX Lion, Safari and Firefox and FM 12 Advanced. We opened port 5003, got a static IP, turn IWP ON, port 16000. Doesn't work. Then we turned IWP OFF, turn Filemaker Network ON and were able to access the databases and use it with no issues. Turn FM Network back OFF, and turn IWP back ON. Still doens't work. Thank you.
  4. Ok, we did that but we still can't connect through IWP. I even tried to turn it off and connect through Filemaker Network, same result. The port 5003 is open on the Mac that has the files open. Do we need to open any other port? Which port should IWP be set on? I appreciate your help.
  5. Hello, I need to share a few databases and I understand the concept of the Filemaker Network and have already set it to share. But, I can't seem to be able to access these files from the outside (of the network). I have the IP, but I think it has to do with the router and/or modem. Has anyone any experience setting up a router or modem so that someone from the outside (of the network) can access these files? Thank you.

    Link to emails

    Is there a way to link (container fields, etc...) to an email sent from Outlook? Example: I send an email from FM through Outlook with an attachement. I would like to refer to this email as well as the attachement at a later date. How do I link to this email? Thank you for your help.

I have an invoicing system where I want to be able to show, if possible on the same page, a report that shows total sales for last year, divided by months, this year's sales, divided by months, and the percentage difference between these 2 years and the percentage difference between each months. In case my English is not good enough, need a summary field showing on the first column last year and the total sales for last year. Under that, I want to see each month of the year with total sales for each the months. Next columns is the same, except it will represent the current year. Next to the year field I need to see the total sale for that year, and the percentage difference between last year and this year. Next to this year's months, I would like to see the total sales for each month, and a field with percent value, showing the difference between this year and last. Thank you very much for your help.

  14. Thanks for all your help. I should explain exactly how business is done, so you can understand my problem better. A client calls-in, and place an order for 5 products. A ClienPO is created. In that example, product 1 & 2 is from vendor 1, products 3, 4 and 5 are from vendor 2, so I need to automatically create 2 VendorPOs, first one with vendor 1, containing product 1 & 2, and another VendorPO for vendor2, containing product 3, 4, and 5. Since each products is customize and all vendors are shipping directly to the client, one or more VendorPO has to be created for each ClientPO. Thank you very much for your time. Terry
  15. Thanks for your reply. What I need is create 1 or more VendorPO for each ClientPO, and not a summary of orders, since the vendors send the products directly to the clients, and therefore need to know which products goes to which clients. If you have an idea on how to do that, please let me know. Thanks again.
