I could not get the suggested solution to work, but I had another idea that tested okay... 1. go into Define, Fields.. 2. select the field that will receive the IP address and click OPTIONS 3. select AUTO ENTER tab 4. select Calculated Value and enter EXTERNAL("Web-ClientIP",0) It seems to work okay..

I have an HTML form that appends records to a FileMaker 4 database. How can I save the client IP of the submitter in a designated text field (called "clientip")in the database? Thanks in advance...
