  1. I know this is a couple of years old, but I recently needed the same plug-in. You might try this link: http://www.youseful.net/ysflcom2k6/fmplugins/tapi.aspx Either the company name changed or the plug-in was purchased, either way, fptelephony is available here.
  2. Just re-read my post...I didn't mean to indicate that Microsoft buying FM would be a good thing...YIKES! MS screws up everything it gets it's hands on! (example: whats going to happen to VirtualPC now that MS has it?! You can bet it will either dry up and disappear or become "bloatware"!) What I meant to say was "There could be worse things if FM went back in-house at Apple."
  3. I love rumors as much as the next guy, but this one hits kinda close to home. Ran accross this tidbit this morning that FileMaker was being moved back in-house at Apple. http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=115 Seems kind of far-fetched, but with all the buzz about changes @ Apple and what the WWDC will bring @ the end of this month I wondered if anyone else has heard anything recently about this? Seems to me there was a "Microsoft is buying FileMaker!" scare not so long ago. Not that this would be a bad thing, and I definately don't want to fan any fires, just thought it would make for interesting DevCon conversation this year at Pheonix. thanks
  4. Thanks for your quick replys! I took Steve's advise and downloaded Troi's Dialog User Guide. It is excellent. It is much more detailed than Wave's guide. (Don't get me wrong, I think WIM produces very fine tools, Troi just has put together an outstanding User Guide.) I think between all the sources I am finding I should be able to get this plug-in to do what I am wanting. Sidenote: I did email Waves In Motion's support mailbox several days ago, but have not heard a reply. It is close to Christmas, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they will get back to me. Old Advance Man, I doubt that I'll be able to get to SF for MacWorld, but I am already saving my pennies for the FM DevCon in August. Thanks again, this forum is the best! ~R
  5. I am working on a solution that will require charting some results (to replace an Excel solution). I have been playing with Azium Charts but the documentation that came with the plug-in is not very detailed. I would like to learn more about functions, parameters, usage, etc. Is there any publication or book that is a good primer for using plug-ins? I know each plug-in has it's own unique functions (as the Azium plug-in uses an "external(action, parameter)" format), but not having used any of these plug-ins before, I'm having a difficult time figuring out the CORRECT syntax for the parameters and the best way to implement them. The demo included with the plug-in is great, but the example files do not work and I have found some misprints in the documention. Thanks for your help! ~Randy
  6. Wil, thanks for the quick response! So, files exported out of a RunTime solution are aways in a tab delimited format? I guess that makes sense, as they are easy to manipulate in that format. Is there an option to export files in a FileMaker format? PS: I think this forum is great!
  7. I apologize if this has been posted before! Does anyone know the compatibility between FileMaker 4.1 files and a runtime solution created in Developer 5x? example: Can exports from a FM 4.1 solution be exported and then imported into a RunTime solution (created in FMD 5x, OK to import, etc.)? I am guessing the answer is yes, given that FM can import older FM files (save a copy in OLD format create new format), BUT what about export files from the RunTime solution and importing them into a FM 4.1 solution? Is it possible? Thanks for any input, I havn't needed to use Developer so I don't have a lot of knowledge on its functionality. [ November 15, 2001: Message edited by: TriggerCat ]
