You nailed it, Old Advance Man. Thanks very much. I removed the WC, RDAC, and TCP/IP OT plug-ins, and that did the trick. I'm using FM Pro 5.5, by the way (sorry for not mentioning that earlier).

Thanks for the suggestion, Gary. I did follow your suggestion and turned off the Auto-Update function, and also unchecked all other Plug-in boxes. However, this doesn't solve the problem. When I again go to open FileMaker, my RemoteAccess log-in starts.

Whenever I start up Filemaker, it connects to the Internet. How do I turn off this function? I use Mac OS 9. Thanks.
