  1. I have a layout currently that has a field on it, that if that field has a value in it, the user must click on a button to open another layout and enter all pertinent information for that record. Problem is, they forget to click the button. Can I use script triggers to ensure they click the button if the field has a value in it. Or should I post this question in a different forum category? Thanks
  2. Hi there I am having a problem with this report I am trying to generate. From the table supplied, I am trying to produce a single list as supplied: Screen 1 Screen 2 I am thinking with some scripting and variables I can achieve this. Thanks, Mika
  3. People I work for do not want me posting it in a public forum...that is why I asked.
  4. can I email you the program
  5. If you look at the screen shot, the 66 tickets means 66 people played. TED 4 strip - 8 purchased and the Special - 235 Played. These are merely arbitrary numbers as what matters is the pot growth, it is a percentage of the revenue. In the twoonie pot, the jackpot can be won at any time...no maximum, it just resets when it is won. The bingo file you sent me works great, problem is I can't get it to add the seed amount when the pot is won. Seed amount is the amount to start the next pool. So all jackpot work the same, there is a current balance, that when won starts at zero. A seed amount is added to start the pool. There has to be a prizes paid field as we need to track the amount of prizes in the month paid. If you would like I can send you an email with the program for you to have a look. Sorry about this, Jackpot tracking is the most important aspect of this program. Mika.
  6. oops! the screen shot. Screen 1
  7. Ok looks like what I need. However, this is what happens, if you look at the screen shot I sent, the growth amount is a calculation..no problem, I can do that in the Jackpot table, but how do I get the current balance to stay current with each day / session...there are 3 sessions each day, each in our case a progressive game. Follow me? Mika
  8. wow! looks neat, I will have a look at it tonight. thanks
  9. Should I clarify this post?
  10. I am trying to add a table to my Bingo database that tracks Jackpots for certain games. Every session, the pot grows until it hits either 5000 or 10000 depending on the game. When it does, there is no pot growth until it is won. How do i keep a running balance and then pull that balance into my main table so that when I enter a new record it shows the jackpot balance. Thanks
  11. Should I put my current tables/relationships aside and make a form to enter each record eg. (late/twoonie),(evening/twoonie),(matinee/twoonie) etc... I have supplied a pic of what fields are needed for twoonie.
  12. Win is Total Revenue - Pot Growth - Seed Money. Also I don't see the attachment and I live in Thunder Bay, ON Canada.
  13. That would be wonderful. Does my relationship(s) look ok?
  14. Hi there, I have been given the task of converting a bingo daily sales recap (excel) to filemaker. I thought this would be easily done. Not so as I am not to Filemaker savvy yet. What happens is each day, the hall is to record sales for three different sessions(matinee, evening, late). During each session, there are 8 games played, each of which has a different payout structure. I have provided a screen shot of what I have already. I can get the data working properly, but its the reporting that I am having trouble with. So I think my relationships are perhaps set up wrong. I will supply a snap of the report I am trying to create next post. Any feedback would greatly appreciated. Edited... Here is my partial report. I can't get the summaries to show up like this.
  15. Is it possible to add a time trial feature to a standalone app that I have generated? Mika
