  1. Has anyone seen this? We have databases hosted with FMServer 5.5 on 2000 server. I have a simple script to find some records and summarize the data. Running with a Jaguar client on FM6 it takes about 5 minutes, running the same script in Panther client with FM6, takes 60 minutes or more! Confirmed that it was panther by running the same script from another Panther computer, same problem. Any ideas? This message is posted in the server forum also.

  3. Thanks for the tip. We are pretty sure that a relationship has gone bad between 2 of the databases. We deleted and redefined them and it appears to be working.
  4. We have a very complex group of databases that seems to be experiencing some weird problems. We have one calculation field that is the sum of several fields but it doesn't always do the calculation. If we search for records that contain data in one of the other fields there should be a subtotal in the "bad " field. What is strange is that sometimes it does not do the subtotal until you browse another record and then come back. This same subtotal is included on a sales summary and in the summary it does add up our totals right. Basically there are some inconsisitencies in one or two of our calculation fields and we can't figure out why, other than possibly database damage. What procedures can I perform to fix things? One thing we are going to try, as per Filemaker support, is save a compressed copy. We have about 80 related databases, the largest of which contains 63,000 records with around 250 fields. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Let me know if you need more information.
