That is exactly what I'm looking for...it really looks like it disappeared... I'm thinking maybe you rename the file like we usually do for other applications (Word for example), by clicking on the file,changing the name and changing the file reference. Could that be it ? I have 22 files for the moment. I'm in my first conversion (I plan on having only 2 files at the end). Do I really have to go trough the 22 files and change all the file references ? If someone has an idea, any kind of help would be appreciated!

Hi, I had trouble finding it myself too. You have to go in your field list (Define --> Database --> Fields). There is a "Print" button on the bottom left corner of the popup screen.

For your information, I've tried the relationship without my script and it works. I just wanted to let you know that there's no problem with the multivaluated relationship in FM7. It's got to be something with my script. I'll figure it out! Thanks anyways!

First of all, excuse myself for my bad english...I'll try to explain my problem the best I can. I am presently converting a database from FM6 to FM7. There is on relation that doesn't work at all in FM7, but used to work fine in FM6. Here's the situation I have a Company table and an Employee table. 1 company has many employees. There are 500 company and 3000 enmployees. When the user is in the company list, he has the possibility to consult all the employees related to the "current found" companies. For example, if there are 15 found companies and you press on the "Consult employees" button, you will be taken in the employee table and will see the employees for the 15 companies. Here's how my relation work : Company Employee gAll_Company_Number ------> Company_Number The field "gAll_Company_Number" contains many company numbers separated by a carriage return. When I ask to see the related records, it finds nothing related. I consulted the common issues in the TechBrief "Upgrading to Filemaker 7 : Migration Foundation and Methodologies". It says something about the fact that they changed indexing from ASCII to Unicode. I think it might be the reason why it's not working, but does someone has an idea on how I could make it work ?

Thank you very much for your time. I passed in all my import scripts and unchecked the bex "Save relative path only" and it seemed to solve the problem.

I searched the posts but I it didn't seem anyone had the exact same problem as me. Here it is : I have a script that imports data from the current found count in another Filemaker database that sits on another server. The thing that happens, is that it looses the path everytime I import. So every time I want to import data, I have to go to my import scriptstep and browse to the file I want to import from. But when I look at the import script step before I "repoint" the file, the IP address is still there...(??), but it doesn't import at all and it doesn't show me any error messages... After I repoint the database I want to import from, the extension of the file shows in capital letters... For example : Before : Test.fp5(100.5.4.52) After : Test.FP5(100.5.4.52) and then it works. I have no clue what's going on...I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this... Thanks!!

I hope someone can help me with that! I removed all the files I was working on from the FMServer during the time I set the layouts order. When I was finished with that and wanted to put it back on the Server(like I do every day of the week). The problem is when I go on "Open Remote -- I select the Server -- I click Open File" it shows me every other file in the filemaker folder, except the one I want to put back on the Server. I tried to drag it, and I got an error message saying the file was in use (it's not...) or it was protected (I didn't do any changes...and it was working fine before...).... I thought maybe the file wasn't closed properly so I reopened it and then closed it...but it's still doing the same thing.... Could someone please help me....I don't know what the problem is... Thanks!!

I have a validation problem, could someone help me out? I have one field where the person clicks in the combo box if the value is true (for example I have children : X) If they checked the combo box, I want another field to appear (for example : Number of children). But if the combo box has not been clicked, I don't want the field to appear. Or in the worse case scenario, the field Number of children could always be there but editable only if the user clicked in the combo box "I have children". Thank you very much for your help!

Never mind, found the answer! Thanks anyways! For those who have this problem : your type field should stay text and then you click on calculated value and write the fields you want to concatenate with the ampersand between them : Last_Name&Phone_number (in my case)

Sorry for the newbie question, How do I concatenate the fields last name and phone number in my client file to make a client ID field ? Thanks for your help!
