I have been trying to figure out how to find the difference between 2 numbers. Example: +108 and -124 = 32 This is the difference between the two numbers. It seems to work if the numbers are the same like two positive numbers or two negatives.

I know this is easy, but for some reason I am drawing a blank. Is there a way to count a repeating field of radio buttons. I have a 53 line repeating field called "Call Type". It is a radio button with 2 options "In" and Out". I need to get a count of all "In" for each record. Any ideas?

Description: I have a script that opens a new window. What I want to do is lock the new window until an action has taken place. As it stands the new window opens on top, but you can select the window behind it. There has got to be a way to lock a window. thanks in advance irage

I am currently using Server 7 and have many hosted databases all controlled through a single "Master Menu". When users open the FileMaker client they get a dialog screen that asks them to choose a remote database or and exsisting database. Is there anyway to automatically open a server database? iRage

Filemaker has a program that could be modified called Work Orders. I am currently working on that exact problem.

I need a little help. I have 3 databases. 1) Manager 2) Assets 3) Employees I want to use the Manager to edit, add and control the data in the other datbases. The other databases are to be used as data storage only. All information is to be viewed in the Manager. I created a "recordID" field in each database, but I am unsure how to make the relationship. Can some one pass along some tips?

I have such a difficult time explaining my problems. So here is some more info to try and clear things up. In the main database (Proposal.FP5) I have created a relational portal that lists items from the PartsList database. When an item is chosen from this portal list it is then added to another portal list linked to the database called (pInvoice.FP5). What I want is when an item is selected for add I want an automatic item as a seperate line item. Does this help clarify? iRage

Databases being used. 1. Proposals.FP5 2. pInvoice.FP5 3. PartsList.FP5 Database Overview: I have many parts stored in the "PartsList" database. These are listed based on category in separated relationship layouts. I then click on a part and it is added to the 'pInovice" database where related items are displayed in the "Proposal" database. The Problem: If a part is selected say the item named "ClassSpeed" an item named "Sybase" must also be added automatically. Basically I need a trigger for an additional item. I will do my best to explain my problem. Database "Proposal.FP5" houses a portal to database "pInvoice.FP5". "pInvoice.FP5 contains a relationship to "ProductPriceList.FP5". The "ProductPriceList.FP5" database contains several fields including a category. What I want to do is create a filter in the "Proposal.FP5" database that will only show items in the value list related to the filter. ie: if filter = display ads, then every product who's category has display ads choosen will show up. Does this make sense!
