  1. Robert Tried your suggestion and got the same results. The calc fields responded same as the lookups. After setting them to store they revert back to unstore once I close the define fields window....thanks for trying.
  2. Yes I am concatenating lookup fields from another file and yes your suggestion worked. Thanks. I was using the concatenated fields to check for duplicates. I was hoping the the indexing would remain after I re-enabled the lookups but they reverted back to an unstored value. It's as if the lookups are being treated as related fields. Is there a fix for this??? Again, thanks for your help.
  3. Fenton, Rod It must be the OS. I'm running Win 2000. Evidently this was not addressed with the Windows upgrade. Shame. Fenton, thanks for your suggestion. That would be less tedious at the outset than trying to scroll and locate fields from the Interface file. I believe the separation approach will be worth the effort in the long run. I
  4. Fenton, I do have the upgrade. Are you viewing in the current file or from another file? When I view the fields in the current file in layout mode they are ordered the way I arranged them. But if I view the same fields (table) from another file they are displayed in the original creation order.
