What you are saying makes sense. I am unfamiliar with the connection to web servers. I can do it easily with PHP... I am assuming I can do it in similar fashion with FM Pro. I am using FM Pro 7.0 ... Do I need the server or will the pro version work fine? Thanks again, Todd

Could someone give me a quick laymans description for using FM Pro to create a database that posts web banners randomly? the backend would be simple (connecting the banner, business name, start and end date for banner, financial information, web link, etc... I just cant envision connecting FM Pro to dynamic web pages to rotate banners within the database from a given set of guidelines. Anyone able to help me?

I have a pop-up list that selects inventory ID. I have a second field connected so when you select the pop-up field, you see the related "Name of inventory". How can I make the selected InventoryiD still show the related name of inventory when i am browsing the records? It is quite tedious to have to click on the pop-up list every time I want to see the name of the inventory, not just the stored ID number.

I am making a database that budgets for a fiscal year. I open to a DEPARTMENT layout and I have set up to show only purchases in that department. I have additional field in the "purchases" table that indicates which fiscal year that purchase was made. (2004-05, 2005-06, etc) How can I tell FM7 to only show the CURRENT fiscal year in that portal. I know it can be done, there are too many cool little tools in here. If not current, can I have a spot to pick which fiscal year? I also have a table of all the companies we work with and it has the same set-up... view what was purchased in a given fiscal year. I am using these portals to calculate how much has been spent and what is left... it does it dynamically every time the layouts are accessed. ANY HELP would be great. Thanks! Todd
