  1. Those were both exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
  2. Hi, I'd really appreciate an extra set of eyes on this one. I'm trying to create 4 product pulldown menus with a respective field next to each that does a lookup and pulls in the corresponding product code. The products need to be in a seperate file from the main database. I'm very close, but when I select from the first menu, the code appears on all 4 of the code lookup fields instead of just the first. Hmmm. Any help would be much appreciated, the small file is attached. I think the problem has to do with the relationships, but I'm just stumped. HappyLookup.zip
  3. Hello, Does anyone know of a way to create a script that would allow a FM runtime user to nudge a printout in various directions? I'm creating a runtime that will allow users to print directly onto a HCFA 1500 form. Since there is variability between printers, drivers, and platforms I would like to give them the ability to nudge the printout up, down, left, or right a little bit to match up data with the preprinted form. Your help is much appreciated!
  4. Hi everyone. I've tried combing this forum and other sites for this info but to no avail. Is it possible to have certain words contained within a text field "link" or go to a different record in the file when clicked on? So rather than having a button go to a record, somehow make selected words in a text field do it. Basically make the functionality like that of a web browser in a way. Is this even supported in Filemaker? Thanks in advance.
  5. Sorry, the above link didn't work upon posting, this is what I meant to post: http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:fe2XC...e+pdf&hl=en
  6. Howdy, Is there a way in FM7 or FM7dev to temporarily bold/highlight keywords in found records after a search? Example: if a have a bunch of recipes and I perform a find for "onion", on all the found records containing "onion" can the word "onion" be bolded temporarily to help the user find the word? Another example is here on the word "headache": http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:fe2XC...520headache.pdf headache pdf&hl=en Thanks a bunch
  7. Thanks for getting me in the right direction!
  8. Hi everybody, I'm new to FM and have a good idea for a database that I want to market. The bulk of it is just about done but I'd like to add a dialog box that pops up upon the first launch and asks for a serial number. All the serial will be is a 10 digit number, not generated, or from a list, but just any ol' 10 digits. I just want it to check that 10 numbers have been entered and then give the ok to continue. Or if it's easier to have a list of serial numbers to pick from that's ok too. Just as long as it looks like there's some kind of anti-piracy. I guess the hard part would be having FM remember so the person doesn't have to enter in the serial every time they use it. Any help on how I can do that? I've been tinkering away until my eyes hurt. Thanks so much for your help, -Don
