How Do I POST FILES TO FM Forum?

Can someone please help me with a simple inventory? I an having major problems! I apologize for my lack of knowledge, I thought I was adequate user of FMP until I started messing around with inventories. Included are 2 files. Inventory & Invoice. I want simple line items related by item id in invoice. Do i Need a portal or repeating fiels to have a line item list in this file? How can I keep the "quantity" field in inventories updated from entries into invoice. I am so confused, I don't even know how to use this forum properly. Can you please show me what I need to do with these files? Please.....

yes 2 files, invoices would have a number of line items. can u give me an example of each method. sorry but iam totally confused...
