URL to jump directly to a specific layout?

This may be slightly off topic, but where did you find the syntax to put that scripting in the URL. Like for instance, if you wanted to send login credentials and specific file in a database in the URL? -
I have a main table that holds all he fields my database requires. I have several other tables in seperate files that hold the same data just in different chunks. I.E. client info, billing history, products. I would like the database to create the appropriate record in the related tables when i type the information into the main table fields. If you could just point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it, still kinda new to filemaker.
