  1. FWIW- I've got a client who is seeing this error with a particular PHP file brought over from an FMS9 server to an FMS11 server. The dozen or so other PHP files do not exhibit this. Removing FMS and reinstalling did not work. Still working on it and will post the resolution if it ever comes.
  2. My SuperContainer error 412 was the result of incorrect permissions on the SuperContainer/Files/ directory branch after moving to a new server. According to 360Works: If using FMS deployment set the permissions to owner: fmserver rw group: fmsadmin rw If using standalone deployment, set read/write permission for the currently logged in user. If using Tomcat deployment, set read write for the user used to run tomcat. I don't know if permissions are the only cause of an error 412, but setting the correct permissions on my Mac OS FM server solved the problem for me.
  3. I'm using SMTPit Pro 4.1.12 with FMPA 11v3. Image references in my HTML code exist in header CSS e.g.: #header{ background:url('header.jpg'); height: 168px; } I can set the inline images from container fields, and they do come though with the email as expected. However, they do not display in the webpage that's received (the email client is set to auto-load images). Because I don't control the HTML template, having it rewritten to use old-style anchor tags isn't as easily done and it ought to be. Is there any way to make inline images work with CSS? Thanks.
  4. No kidding? I'll have the client check it out. Why would a time discrepancy break authentication? Seems like it would always fail for WAN users outside the server TZ. Thanks for the suggestion.
  5. Hi All, I've got a Xserve running OSX Server 10.5.8 and FMSA 9. When I uninstall FMSA 9 and install either FMSA 10 or 11, external authentication breaks. All the external users and groups are set up in the local OS. Some things we've tried: -confirmed that FM and External authentication are enabled in the admin -double checked the spelling of group names in the OS and FM files -re-uploaded the data files through the admin -deleted and re-created some users and groups in the OS -deleted and re-created some external-auth accounts in a database -burned sage in the server closet No matter what we do, we end up with error number 661 logged when attempting to authenticate with an external account. I appreciate any suggestions offered up. Thanks!
  6. Gladys is the only product for remote monitoring of FileMaker Server 7 and 8. And we were all kinds of excited to get our hands on Server 9. But, well, how can I phrase this? "We can still be friends" or "It's not you, it's me," or maybe "I love you, but I'm not IN love with you?" See, it turns out that the Gladys affair ended with FileMaker Server 9. FileMaker Server has changed and left our gal behind. I'll admit we went through the stages of a break-up. Anger, denial, sadness, flirting with other databases. But we grew strong and we learned how to carry on. We could wallow in self pity or we could go for the cheap thrills. And cheap thrills we shall have. We cut the prices on Gladys by as much as 80%. If you've got FileMaker Server 7 or 8, it's the cheapest database thrill going. Gladys: $39 (80% off the original retail price) Gladys Pro: $99 (80% off) Gladys Site License: $499 (50% off) And as long as our judgment remains clouded, you can still use your FMPug or TechNet discount to save another 20% off the discounted price! What about the poor souls who already bought Gladys? We gave them free site licenses. Except the ones who already bought site licenses. They got home baked cookies. You want to know more? 7. Hey there, Just want to let you know that Gladys runs on OSX, but it can monitor Mac and Windows FM Servers. You can also use the fmsadmin command line tool to get account names. It's a bit obtuse, but here's how you do it. First you'd list the clients: fmsadmin list clients You'll get a list of client IDs and names. Then request details on a particular client using the client ID from above: fmsadmin status client 50 You'll get back the following Client ID Remote Name IP Address Connect Time Duration Trans/Sec Net Bytes/Sec Session Type File Name Account Name -Stuart -- Stuart Gripman, FMCD President, Crooked Arm Corp. www.crookedarm.com
