  1. thanks, Lee. Figured it out a minute after you answered.
  2. Duh. Sorry all. Let me answer my own post. 5 Minutes after posting I discovered if I change font smoothing in Mac OS X's "Appearance" system preference to "6 points and below" the problem is solved. Hope that helps someone else at least.
  3. I searched the forums but didn't see this discussed so I apologize if its been asked before. I have a layout in FM8 with several fields using 7 point Frutiger Condensed. In browse mode this font displays all jagged and the cursor appears out of place typing characters before where the insertion point appears on the screen. I can change the font but it seems to happen with all. It also happens on different machines. Both Macs running 10.4 by the way. Bumping the size up to 9 pt fixes the problem but I need to use 7pt for printing. Can anyone help? Thanks.
  4. Daniele, Thank you very much for not only looking at this file, but also for making the correction. This file is related to another database which I will now be able to put online because of your help. Joe P.S. Lee thank you also for taking a look.
  5. Hello Everyone, I'm using a small database that produces Friday dates. It worked fine in v6, but after converting to v8, it returns 0/00/000 in every instance. I can't figure out why. Anyone care to take a stab? It's attached. Thanks. Issue_Dates_.zip
  6. Ender, Thanks for posting about running 5.5 and 8 on the same computer. I was about to attempt this as I beging migrating to 8. I have an Xserve G5, however, with dual ethernet ports. Even though you've said you can't run both on the same computer, do you think it would be possible to do this anyway if I assign one IP address to Server 5.5 and the other to Server 8? Thanks
  7. Lee, By "AnyDate" I assume you mean the date field I am trying to clear. If so, that didn't work. Thanks for the response, though.
  8. : Hi Mr. Vodka! Thank you. This worked. I wouldn't have thought of that since "Date to text" seems to contradict the calculation qualifier that result must be a date. I greatly appreciate your response.
  9. Hello, In Scriptmaker, I'd like to insert a line in a script to remove a date from a date field. I would think I should use the "Set Field" script step, specify the date field I want to clear, and then enter "". However the calculation result must be a date so the field displays a "?" How can I rewrite this to simply get the date field to be empty? Thanks.
