Thanks to the generosity of an IT staff member at the University we are affiliated with, I have just had a chance to try FileMaker Pro 5.5v2 on an Intel Mac running OS X v10.4.1 (P4 developer build). No problems were encountered in the following simple tests: installation program startup opening existing .fmp5 files adding, deleting, and modifying records in existing .fmp5 files running simple scripts in existing .fmp5 files We did not test ODBC functionality or third-party plugins, as we do not use either in our current setup.

Actually, we're already using FMP v5.5 on PPC machines running Mac OS X (both 10.3 Tiger and 10.4 Panther).

I've read on both macintouch and this forum that FMP v6 works under Rosetta on the Intel Macs, but does anyone know about v5.5? Fortunately, our setup doesn't use any plugins, and the files are shared from a Windows 2000 box acting as a server, even though it's only running regular FMP v5.5 (not Server). The Windows server is the only place that ODBC might be used, as there are some ancient Delphi apps running there that synchronise the FMP data with other dbs.
