  1. Hi, has anyone an apple script to click on a button in Filemaker to take a reference number from a field and open any file within Cumulus (7.1) that contains that reference number? I can't write apple scripts myself but I am hoping one of you geniuses have will have something I can use! Many thanks Peter
  2. Hi All, I need to enter a URL for a single database and it open direct in the web browser. I want it to login as guest account without having to enter any passwords so people are straight in. IWP is linked internally as http://192.168.0.242/fmi/iwp/res/iwp_home.html which brings up all 15 databases hosted and if I click on one of them the url changes to: http://192.168.0.242/fmi/iwp/res/iwp_auth.html?sid=02DA8E8FAEAC1F2D12F9D213 I can enter that url which bypasses the welcome page but it still asks for a password (the file is set to open using guest which it does automatically with Filemaker but not on the web. (I also have a feeling the link above will change every time I open filemaker) There must be an easy way to do this Please help Thanks Peter
  3. Hi, While using Filemaker on the web, I want people to enter an email address in a field and click the submit button. Then I would like them to receive an acknowledgment email and I would like to receive a email to say the database has been updated. I want the emails to be sent automatically without opening Outlook or similar to send. Hope this makes sense Thanks Peter
  4. The error message has appeared on 5 different PCs terminals at separate times over the last week and all of them have use filemaker before without problems. I don't think the problem is within Filemaker but it is the only program that is flashing up the error message. When it happens it stops users from entering data and they can loose data that has been just typed in (before it had the chance to automatically save) I know it is difficult for you to guess by the information to hand and I do appreciate your help. Any more thoughts? Thanks again Peter
  5. So, if it's a client side on the PCs, where? With the applications being launched from the Windows Server could it be the way the Windows Server is set up or write permissions . Or could it have something to do with the PCs being on a different subnet mask or the speed of the server (The PC Windows Server has loads of hard drive space!) . This is a problem that has only started to happen over the last couple of months and I have been running Filemaker server for 3 years without any problems. I need more thoughts please Thanks Peter
  6. [color:red]Error message: There is not enough room on the disk to complete this operation. Make more room on the disk. then try again. Filemaker Server Advanced is running on a Mac and PCs connect to it using a PC Windows Server 2003 where everyone has dumb terminals and login using passwords to gain access, then launch the application from the Windows Server. The Macs connecting to Filemaker Server have no problems whatsoever. But periodically someone on the PC side gets the above error message. There is 200GB of space on the Filemaker Server so I don't think it's that. Anyone have any ideas Thanks Peter
  7. I need to upload PDF files through a web browser into Filemaker and also download PDF files from Filemaker over the web. (The database will be hosted on a Mac using FM Server Advanced) Object: I want to publish a PDF file in Filemaker that a client can view on the web, then make any corrections they need and upload the amended file back into Filemaker (or a folder or however it will work) Many thanks in advance for your help Peter
