Hi"Old Man", thank you for your hint. But it is surely not jre problem. Installed on the server is jre 6u7, and for ensuring it is not corrupted installation i already deinstalled 6u7 and reinstalled it. It didnt help. And the OS the fm server 9adv is running on is a windows server 2003, and not vista. Yesterday i made another installation of the fm server on another machine and redirected all requests to this machine. So i won some time to solve the problem (i hope more time than three weeks of the first one : ). Some weeks before i already had problems on the same machine with filemaker server 9a and odbc connection. And the symptoms have been nearly the same. Filemaker management console said that odbc is started, but netstat and tcpview told me that nothing listens to port 2399. That first occurence i managed by deinstalling and reinstalling fm server to solve the problem. For exactly three weeks. This time the same, nothing listens to 2399, console sais odbc is started, and additional the error message as in the subject. But no success after de- and reinstalling. greetings from germany Chris

hi all, i have a funny problem with fm server 9 adv and odbc and iwp. I´m not sure if it is a odbc/iwp specific problem, so i post it here. exactly 3 weeks ago, i installed fm server 9a (the version from technet), with iwp switched on and odbc switched on. All worked fine and well for exactly three weeks. Then over night, no changes made, no patches installed, nothing reconfigured, i first have seen that i lost odbc connection to this server. I checked java (it is 6.7), i tried to deinstall fms 9a, reinstalled it, tried to install fms10a. No chance. No odbc connection, no iwp. All i can see is that odbc gets no connection, and iwp is down. When i try to "Servereinsatz bearbeiten", i finally get the error message as seen in the subject. When i use netstat or tcpview, i see that there is nothing listening to port 2399, but the filemaker server management console tells me that odbc is on. Then i thought ... hmm, the windows server i have running my filemaker server is a virtual machine. And i have backed up the disk images just one day after the sucessfull installation. So i restored the working, three weeks old copy. Nope. Same problems. Is there a three week expiration date build into the Technet Version? Next steps i want to do is trying to deinstall and reinstall java. Hi all, i have a problem using instant web publishing on filemake server 9 advanced (developer license) and windows server 2003. (please excuse the german error texts, or bad translations, i only have the german version) When i go to the server status, beside web publishing engine is a red dot, iwp xml and xslt are off. When i click in the admin window to web publishing, i get the message "... please start web publishing". Hmmm, i tried. When i click on "servereinsatz bearbeiten" (edit server?), i proceed unto the page where i can enter hostheader and port for iis. Then i click "next try" and get the error message "Einsatz / Konfigurationsfehler -150. Starten der Komponente WPE(wpe1) fehlgeschlagen. Fehlercode =2500" (configuration error -150. starting of component WPE(wpe1) didnt work. errorcode=2500) I have configured iis so that there is a website with exact the hostheader and exact the port i have entered for fms9a. What is going wrong? Where have i to look to find the mistake i did? Update or patch needed? Thanks to all! greetings from germany Chris
