  1. Joel, Thanks...i was just trouble shooting that very same issue....now it all works. Lemur
  2. Thanks for the reply, All I have to say is ARGHHH! I didn't think that I would be able to transfer the layouts doing it this way since I had deleted them from my practice dbs. Just brilliant..thanks a million To summarize: Testing DBS=Old records + New fields Master DBS= Newest records - The Testing DBS will become the master DBS after the import 1. Import records from Master ---> Testing 2. Copy/Paste layouts from Master --> Testing 3. Rename Master ---> 4. Rename Testing ---> Master Thanks again LemurFM
  3. Hi, I copied my original dbs for testing and learning purposes. I created a new layout and field names that I now wish to import back into my original database. I am not interested in merging or importing records, just layout and field names (value lists..sry not up to speed with the terminology yet) 1. I can copy the layout (copy and paste), but the field names do not exist in my original dbs...therefore they remain blank. Also tried Filemanagedatabasetableimport...but that yielded the same result. 2. I do not want to recreate every single field name again (it took a while the first time around). 3. I have used the search function on the site and referred to a couple FM bibles without any luck...so any help would be greatly appreciated. Really what I'm asking (long winded)is whether or not its possible to import/merge/combine value lists (variables) from multiple databases into a master database. Thank you, "All data, No base" Platforms: Mac and XP (shouldn't make a difference)
