Urgent help needed , on record load script running

Featured Replies

Hi all

i require urgent help , i had added a on record load script to the front page of my solution , unfortunately i see the script is somewhat buggy , and i can`t get in to the solution it doesn`t not open.

script just running and running , any idea how i can stop it from running

You can stop a script by opening the Script Debugger before you open your solution. You will need FileMaker Advanced for this.

If i don`t have advanced ,id there anything else i could do?

Not that I know of. If you locked yourself out, that's the only way in. Or ask a friend to disable your script, who has Advanced. ☺️

ok, i purchased an advanced now , totally new to it , how would i go about it  , where would i find the script debugger , and how would  i edit the script before i load the file?

I think it's under Tools. Open it up, then open your solution. Then hit the edit button so you can edit your script. Then disable it. Next time run it in the debugger (with the Data Veiwer open) so you can see what every step does.

I also recommend reading the FileMaker Training Series.
