Thanks to this forum I can now travel between databases and layouts by selecting a desired location from a value list then clicking on a button to execute a script based on the value selected. I'd like to eliminate the button and be able to initiate the script by merely making the selection from the list - much like can be done in a web page.

Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

You might do it:

- using a plugin that captures the exiting out of the field

- putting the user in a loop and a 1 second pause, exiting the loop when the field has a value

IMO in both cases the cons outweight the pros, so I'd either stick with the button or (if feasible) use a portal instead of a value list
