Hi,

Can the tabbed part of the MirrorSync Layout be moved out into the grey area to the right of the layout so it's not seen by the user? I know there are a couple of 1x1 pixel web viewers and I guess they would remain on the layout.

It's not a big deal but I'd like for my users just to see the status field and sync buttons to keep it simple for them.

Honestly, I don't know the answer to that. Try it and let me know :-)

I tried i and seems to be fine on initial and subsequent syncs.

I found this pertinent info at https://www.filemaker.com/help/15/fmp/en/index.html#page/FMP_Help/changing-the-width.html

Objects located in the gray area:
•are available for use in script steps.
•do not appear in Browse mode regardless of auto-resize settings.
•are skipped in the tab order.
•appear in dialog box lists and in Table View (field objects).

 

It seems there could be a problem is if MirrorSync ever walks through fields on the MirrorSync layout using tab order.

Please can you confirm if that ever happens?

The only time we ever use the 'Go to field' script step is when updating the status field in the MirrorSync table.
