Hi,

Got a real strange issue....

My button bars look fine, slightly offset, but fine on the desktop version... But as soon as I look on FM Go, one of the text boxes just floats away? - I have tried moving it around and changing the size and i just get the same issue but with different buttons?

See images...

Thanks

Has anyone had any issues in the past with button bars not looking right on FMGo? For some reason, they always seem to have random spacing between the button and the outer line? Any ideas/tricks?

Hi,

Check your active state condition on the segments, matches the inactive state, the only time I have seen this occur with individual button segments is when its active and the active state has a different padding.

Our lead developer Milan made his dream come true and built a pond controlled by FileMaker and Raspberry Pi.

The pond contains about 35 cubic meters of water (about 9246 gallons) and it’s 2 meters (6.5 feet) deep in its deepest point. It is equipped with both mechanical and pressurized filter, UV light, pumps for filtration and waterfall, and an air pump. There are water plants, fish, and other water animals living in the pond. To keep the pond in good conditions, Milan has automated control of its environment with the help of Claris FileMaker and Raspberry Pi…

Over a year ago, I started an ambitious project; to develop a FileMaker solution where everything happens on a single screen. It has been much more work than I had anticipated but 8 projects later, it has been defined and refined to the poiint where it is now bulletproof and will work for any solution for any industry.
On January 3, 2020 I will be releasing NautilusFM to the community under an open source (BSD) license so that anybody and everybody can benefit and learn from it. The release includes a comprehensive ebook with step-by-step instructions and an example file to illustrate all of the techniques and methodologies used; that example file could easily be used as a basis for projects and contains the basis functionality required for every business
NautilusFM is a framework, a methodology for development.  To read the background story

NautilusFM is NOT a FileMaker solution although the example file is.

As soon as the file is ready, you'll receive a copy of it via email.
I'm excited to share it with the community.

This is Part 2 of a 2 part (90 minute) amazing conversation with Rick Kalman, Director of Product Management for FileMaker, and Robert Holsey, Senior Product Manager for FileMaker. Rick and Robert talk about, among other things, Claris Connect, the benefits of acquisition instead of strategic partnerships, save as XML, responsive layouts, Apple's influence, live database development, moving to a web first strategy and changes to the relationship graph. We are very honored that they took so much of their time to talk with us candidly and openly.
Part 1 was released last Wednesday and has had over 700 downloads. Thanks to all for listening.  Steven Blackwell tweeted that it was an 'Exceptionally significant PodCast' and that 'All #FileMaker developers should listen.'

Welcome Back Claris - Episode #7
At the FileMaker Developer Conference last week, FileMaker, Inc. announced they had changed their name to Claris International and purchased Stamplay. This is a bit of déjà vu for anyone who remembers MacWrite, MacPaint and Claris Corporation. It’s a blast from the past that’s been modernized. We’ll share our thoughts on the announcement and even speculate as to what the future holds. Come join us for this exciting new era for FileMaker.

P.S. This is our 7th episode.  The podcast has already had well over 1600 downloads in just under 3 weeks, so a huge thank you to all of our listeners.  It's getting some great reviews and we would love to hear your thoughts and comments.
New episodes will be released every Wednesday.  Coming up:
      KISS (Keep it simple stupid)
      FileMaker Certification
      Favorites & Features
P.P.S. If all goes to plan, a very special episode will be released on August 19.  Stay tuned
