My Sub-Summary is Hidden

Featured Replies

Hi.

I want to have sub-summary when sorted by my customer's name example:

A:

Ali

Angel

Amir

B:

Benta

Box

and ....

I do this work but I don't know why my Sub-summary is hidden?

NOTE: I Have Sub-Summary In My "Customer_list"

Your sub-summary part is defined as "Sub-summary when sorted by [Sort]" and will be visible only when the Sort field is one of the fields in the sort order. If you want it to show when your records are sorted by Customer Name, then change it's definition accordingly.

Go to Layout mode. Double click the sub-summary part's label to open the Part Definition dialog. Change the selected field from Sort to Customer Name.

IMPORTANT:

To get the display shown in your original post (where the sub-summary part is shown once for every letter of the alphabet), leave the sub-summary part as it is. When sorting records, include the Sort field in the sort  order - i.e. sort by Sort first, then by Customer Name.
