i want to connect to my filemaker server from my home to the office, there for on my firewal i need to port the ip address of the server through the firewall, does anyone know what port that FM server uses?

Have a look at the FMI web site. The "Techinfo" has some on this.

U probably know this already but it's better to tell U wot U know already than have your valuable business data stolen or removed.

If you are connecting from home with dial-up be aware that performance can be a "bit" (ahem) slow.
