Display Only bottom Line of Calculated Text Field

Featured Replies

This is a stylistic issue: I have a calculation field (text) that displays a three-line address:

Street Address

City / ST / ZIP

Country

The field is clickable so when the user clicks on it, it copies the entire address into the clipboard so it can be pasted in a non-FileMaker Pro form on-screen. To save vertical space in the layout, I want to display only the last line of that field that shows Country, but no matter how much I play with the controls in the Inspector--and adjust the field's height--I just can't get it to work. Is this do-able or no?

TIA for your help!

Why not just put the country field on the layout.  Clicking on the field can copy the calculation field results on the clipboard.

You can also put the same calculation into a tooltip so the user can see the results before clicking.

Thanks--great idea about using the Country field with a calc.

I forgot to mention that this is in FileMaker Go, so no tooltips. : (

You could place the Country field over the calculation field and make it non-enterable, so that clicking on it would enter the calculation field and reveal the entire address.
