Hey Andrew,

We've done some work on the Windows installation process in recent patches. Do you mind trying to install with the following version? Right now it's version 4.0046.

Let me know how it goes! Thanks,

I have resolved the issue by installing on my filemaker server then accessing through browser.

I now have a further issue, having run through all the database setup.  My Iphone cannot contact the windows 2012 filmmaker maching using HTTP://Servername/MirrorSync

I can connect using http://192.168.**.**/MirrorSync or http://server.local/MirrorSync.

is there something I can do on my DNS server to resolve this?

Andrew

I'm no networking expert, but my guess would be to check with your domain name provider. You can run some tests to isolate what's going wrong. For example, are you able to hit http://servername.com from your phone, but not http://servername.com/MirrorSync ? Your Domain Name handler should be proxying your domain name to an IP address, and if you can hit the server using the raw IP address, I think it's fair to say you're on the right track.

Also, check to see what error you're getting when you attempt to hit http://servername.com/MirrorSync.  The error prompt should give you some intel to help you figure out what's going wrong.

i have got past this problem my replacing the server name with the IP adderess of the server.

i now have tried my first sync on the ipad.  it produces and error

"JDBC is enabled on the server, but wither these credentials are incorrect, ot the fmxdbc extended privilege is not enabled for this account.  JDBC error message: [filemaker][filemaker JDBC](213): Password incorrect "

the password is correct, any clues?

Double check that the fmxdbc privileges are enabled for the databased (in manage -> security), and also that port 2399 is open on your network (that's the JDBC port MirrorSync needs to ferry information back and forth).

Here's a link to our documentation that may outline some of these points in more detail: http://docs.360works.com/index.php/MirrorSync_4_advanced_topics

Don't hesitate to call or e-mail us with any other issues.
