Dialog window causing problems

Featured Replies

Upon updating the plug-in to version 3 for FileMaker 16, when firing the script that sends the emails a dialog box flashes on the screen for each email sent.

If you try to switch applications while FileMaker runs the script, the cursor will deactivate from whatever app you are using to bring up the plug-in dialog.

This was not an issue in the previous version and has now become an annoyance to those who are trying to accomplish tasks after hitting the button.

If there are several records queued up to send an email, it will interrupt all other functions on the computer as each email is sent.

Not a big deal in the big picture, but it will prevent users from wanting to upgrade, and then when we are forced to, if the problem is not fixed we will have to look for

an alternative that does not cause this.

Is there new functionality that calls up this dialog box that can be turned off?

What is the reason for this change?

Thank you.

This is an issue we addressed in the latest release, 3.08 . If you are not using this version, please update your plugin and let us know if the issue persists.

EDIT: forgot to add, you can turn off progress bars by passing in the parameter "progress=false" into the EmailSend function. I am not sure if that will keep FileMaker from taking focus though.
