Is it possible to add a chart of accounts to fm starting point?

A filemaker mentor once told me "with FMP , anything is possible" . You will have tobe more specific for me . What do you mean by "chart of accounts"

Hi there

I need to track for each transaction income or expense the accounting account types that corresponds with our accounting software.

It does not need link to our accounting software. It is purely for reference but still required for our records. 

Any ideas
