Have you tried the import tab ?

Watch the video first and maybe make a backup before trying it?

Dashboard> Preferences >Import tab >Import Records from OLD FM Starting Point

I answered a similar question on this post, but the short answer is it depends on what version of FileMaker you're using, what customizations you have made to FMSP, if any, and how much data you have.
