Is there a way to turn off the FMP5.5 startup spalsh screen? We would like the name of our solution to be displayed instead of the FMP5.5 splash.

Hi

If you create a runtime with Developer, the FM splash screen goes away. But you cannot network a bound solution.

I have heard that there is a way, but I also heard that it is highly discouraged because it causes instability of your database. You can make a layout that appears at startup.

You could use a splash screen .ini file as your start up icon. This inserts a small applet that dispalys a gif whilst fm starts up. Have a look at some free examples at fantazm.com
