services wanted Mailit or 360works email

Recommended Posts

I have a pretty simple document generation and management solution to which I would like to add an email capability.  I would like to be able to have my email attachments dealt with FileMaker so as to be given a unique name and allow me to save them to my HD all in Macintosh.

Any body interested in taking on this task for me?

I will buy whichever plugin will do the best job or suits the successful consultant.

Your post suggests a single machine/user setup. If that is the case, why not simply use the send mail script step with the email client? That functionality is built in which saves you buying a plugin (remember there are also free plugins that may do what you need, such as Base Elements) and you should be able to do that yourself (short script that uses the send mail script step and saves you attachments somewhere for you). Although you could also keep the email/attachment in a folder in your mail client.

I have started sending emails using the INSERT FROM URL method shown by soliant here:
      https://www.soliantconsulting.com/blog/html-email-filemaker/
Emails are being sent out but many recipients seem to be getting my emails sent to their spam folders. I'm curious if this has anything to do with this method of sending emails.

      HELP!
      This is driving me nuts.
Need to send emails with an attachment from server side script.
The attachment path calculates correctly, as far as I can tell. Permissions are 777 (I Know...), but the file still does not attach!

This is the variable calculation that yields the path:
      "/Samsung SSD/Library/FileMaker Server/Data/Documents/"&$filename

Only problem is: attachments don't attach!
I have tried every iteration I could think of:
      "filemac:/Samsung SSD/Library/FileMaker Server/Data/Documents/"&$filename
      "/$filename"
      "<Documents>/"&$filename
      What am I missing here???

Thank you!! I can't believe I'm the only one who ran into this issue?

Looking for someone to help setup a simple connection to a sql database on cpanel for our Ranch to connect to cattle listings on our website..  I'll be using fmp12 server or content for now just establishing a connection via fmp12 client on windows 7 pro machines.
Specifically I am having trouble establishing a DSN connection from any of my machines and have opened ports / given access in cpanel to my static IP.
I have also updated MS ODBC drivers on one of the machines to see if that made a difference.  It may be something quick for an expert with experience or it might end up being a gremlin.
I have set up some test databases for troubleshooting purposes and willing to do alot of the legwork if i'm able but also willing to pay someone for their expertise as well.
      thx.

      Good day,
We are currently looking for a Filemaker developer who can work for us as an independent freelancer/contractor. We are a mid-level Filemaker Developer who needs assistance with maintenance and limited customization on our solutions.
Our headquarters is based in northern NJ. However, this is a position that can be remote.
Looking forward to hearing from this community, and thank you for the help.
