Hello Everyone,

We are planning to use FileMaker server 17 on AWS. And for client, thinking of using AppStream 2.0.

I would like to know if there is any sort of issues using Appstream 2.0, means, performance issue or any limited functionality.

Also would like to take your suggestions, instead of using Appstream 2.0, is there any other solution or way to connect filemaker apps hosted on AWS.. without installing filemaker client on user. machine.

Thanks in advance.

A quick look at Appstream suggests its not an actual app, it's just a way to stream an app from AWS. So you'd need FileMaker Pro installed in AWS to be able to stream it via Appstream so users can connect to your FMS in AWS.

FileMaker Pro is FileMakers native way to connect to FMS and its hosted databases. But you can also connect to it via its API or ODBC etc. But that means you end up building your own client UI. Not sure that FileMaker would the right solution in that case.
