PC opening as "Read-Only"

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if this is the best area to post to, but all DBs are hosted on FMP Server 5.5v2 on OS X...

Here's the problem... I've got a set of 4 databases, one is set to multi-user, the other 3 are set to "Multi-user Hidden" I've got an iMac running OS 9.2 (FMP-Unlimited 5.0), and a Win2K PC (FMP Unlimited 5.0) that open the one multi-user file from the Server (Mac G4, 867Mhz running OS X 10.1.5 and Serer 5.5v2 as mentioned before). On the iMac everyhting is great, I open the one file (via "Hosts") and a script opens the other three. Everyhting works, I can view, edit, everything.

On the PC however, I open the first "multi-user" file, and the script opens the other three, but as the other three are opening I get a message like this:

"This file is being opened as "Read-Only" it is write protected. you will not be able to make changes"

And when I view "Sharing" info on them it tells me that they are "single user" files...

Any Ideas??

Are there any other copies of the databases on the PC (or a network file share!) that it might be opening instead of the FMP Server hosted files?
