List view filter as you type in FM Go

Is there a way of keeping the keyboard enabled with a list view 'filter as you type' in FM Go? When it performs the find it disables the keyboard, and then of course it enables in on the 'go to field' step...so it pops up and down on each keystroke. I'd be okay using a portal instead if needed.
