I see today a banner on an old topic:

""This topic has 2683 days old and we rather you open a new topic instead of post it here."

This is a great feature that's new to me. The grammar is wrong and awkward, though. I'd suggest something like:

This topic is 999 days old. Please don't post here. Open a new topic instead.

Also, maybe we could just auto-lock threads older than a year or two? Don't know if that's possible.

Fixed the text - there is a setting that allows to prevent older topics from being added to but i hadn't enabled it yet.

 

Nice! Now it looks like a ransom note though...
