Problem with script workspace display

When i choose script workspace from the drop down menu, the display does not show on the screen.  It shows that a window is open but there is no display.  It happened once before and re-booting fixed it but not this time.  Any ideas on what it could be?

Which version of FM?

And OS.

version 17 on Windows 10.  Has been working fine for two years, then it stops.  I installed FM18 and it works.
