Remote Access and/or File Transfer Protocol for FM

I made a FM solution for my brother living out of state who is not computer literate. What I want to be able to do is perform maintenance on the solution I made for him. Is there a way to dial into his system, access FileMaker and perform backups, run

I love Timbuktu for remote access. It'll run you about $200 for the two licenses, although it may be cheaper than that. It'll let you connect to the computer and control it as if you were sitting at the system.

Windows XP has a feature built in called Remote Assistance. If both computers are running XP, you can control the other system without purchasing any other software.
