I am trying to imitate the password dialog box where an individual would enter his/her password and the system would log this. How do I graphically achieve this - the user entering their password without seeing it, yet getting the feedback of a circle appearing in the text box they are typing in?

If you want a login in window, the Troi Dialogs have one that will allow you to type a blind password. www.troi.com

Another option is to use a "password" font for the displayed field. In a "password" font all characters are dots. This font would have to be installed on all client machines or font substitution would display the password in a readable font.
