Hi.

Is it possible to detect the name (SSID) of a Wireless network I am connected to on an iPad through FMGo?

I can detect if its a WiFi or cellular connection, and I can get the assigned IP address, but need to know the actual Wifi name - as the above two details are not enough. I thought about adding a GPS location in there too hoping it would help, but as it's a large warehouse, sometimes the GPS data is not precise enough.

A WiFi name would solve all my problems. :)

I have a script that will run on an iPad ONLY if they are connected back at head office as it will connect to a local device there. I have both BaseElements and MonkeyBread software if I can pull info from to determine this info if this helps.

Cheers,

Greg

Hi Ocean West,

Thanks very much for this - I will look into this option. I've not done anything like this before, so new frontiers, eh?!. :)

Cheers,
Greg
