amateur needs advice

I have been using FM vers 5 to run an intranet based phone book and worksheet (plus a few other databases) it works great .

I need to initiate printing to a remote printer from a browser button.

Is this possible ... any tips on where I start?

Everything is mac based , the printer I want to use is a dymo label writer, USB shared .

Are you trying to print the Web page or the FileMaker record? If the latter, the Mac issuing the print command must have the FileMaker application and record from which to print. You are advised against using scripts via the browser.

2 and a half years eh...... a long time get your reply! I have been Ill , no excuse I know.

Yes I was trying to print a label from FM record on the machine with FM installed via a web companion browser button:

Its only to generate address labels : I would like the user to create a new FM record from his browser and print it remotely on the same machine that is hosting the database.

Im still using FM 5.01 v1
