stuj1026 Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 Hi All !! Need some help. We have a few databases published using Instant web publishing as well as a few using Custom web publishing. We are considering moving us to JSP (java server pages) There is an article published by Filemaker about creating java server pages with filemaker pro 5 unlimited and Macromedia dreamweaver ultradev 4 . Before we go out and spend $900 on the jrun from macromedia I was hoping to get some input as to wheather this is the way to go or not. We use dreamweaver for development of our website and are looking to intagrate the two. Any feedback would be great Thanks Stu
Anatoli Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 I am very skeptical of JDBC in FM. I guess is one of those "marketing" features -- nice on spec sheet, not really up to a job, like ODBC.
stuj1026 Posted August 29, 2002 Author Posted August 29, 2002 So you think I should stick with custom web publishing using cdml? or do I have another choice? stu
Anatoli Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 That is my conclusion so far. The XML is vastly improved in v. 6.
stuj1026 Posted August 30, 2002 Author Posted August 30, 2002 ordered 6 should be here in a couple of days
