Oyseka Posted August 25 Posted August 25 (edited) Good day, my Filemaker file is becoming a little sluggish but as it is now fairly large and complex, (400 + layouts) I reasonably expect that. However on checking my Activity Monitor I see that I am showing 398.82 GB of Virtual Memory Size. How is that even possible. Is there anything I should do to reduce this. Sorry I have not updated my profile. This is on FMP 22.02.202 on Mac OS 15.6 Edited August 25 by Oyseka Update user data
Oyseka Posted August 26 Author Posted August 26 Hi, thanks for responding. I have no problem with the amount of RAM being used by FMP it is the Virtual Memory Size that I find incredulous. I had raised the file cache to try and ameliorate the slowdown when lengthy scripts are performed.
