Finding the name of a file in a container in FMP

Featured Replies

I have several hundred photos that were placed in a container field in a FMP database. How do I find out the name of the photos that are in each container? There does not seem to be any way to get the file name.

I believe you are on to something and you are right.

On the other hand, since the image is in a container field, why would you need a name? The ability to find the right record would seem to be what is important.

Just incidentally, generally speaking pictures eat a lot of memory

Yes, I agree.

You can store a reference to the image and keep them stored in another folder. Then you have the file name, too (just not in FM, unless you use the Troi File plug-in)

However none of this info is very helpful because you already have them in containers.

If you are really going to be using images to any extent, there are a lot of advantages to having Troi File.
