WSC and IP Restrictions - Please?

I recently reconfig' my server to use webstar 4.0 and the web server connector on one machine, FMP5u'ltd on another. My main reason for doing this was my desire to use the IP restriction security feature to limit access to all IP's except those coming from the the web* server machine. Webstar is working; the WSC is working; I can access my databases when the IP restriction is turned off. When it is turned on it appears to be working when I access the database from a client with IP access. However, when I check the FM access log, it appears that all requests are coming from the IP of the server machine. If the access log thinks that all requests are coming from the server machine, why won't limiting access to the server machine work the way I want?
