header part slide up

Featured Replies

can a header part slide up with its sliding parts or is it fixed?

You can change the size of a part by dragging the horizontal line in layout mode. You can click on the part name and press delete to delete a part.

If your tring to resize a part and its not moving, that is because there is a layout objecti n the way. Either move it or hold down option (alt in windows) and drag, the will overried it.

I think rivet's question was different. But if not, then *my* question is different: wink.gif

If I have a bunch of stuff in my header... tabs, buttons, and so on... that I don't want to print when it goes to printer, then I can easily define that in the sliding/printing specs. But, from my experimentation, it seems that the header remains the same size... even if I've eliminated all but one small object and defined sliding to be in effect.

Is there a way to get the header to shrink if most of the objects in it vanish when printing? Or are you stuck with a lot of blank space in your header?

If the latter, when *does* sliding work?

The header is fixed at whatever size you set it for. You're better off creating a separate printing layout than trying to mess with sliding, colors, different font sizes etc.
