LTQ Posted September 11, 2002 Posted September 11, 2002 I'm trying to enter a number (ie. 1.25) in a number field but I keep getting the message that I need to enter a positive number...so I enter 1,25 and it accepts it. The field is formatted as a decimal with 2 fixed decimal digits and with a decimal separator. Any ideas how I can make the field accept my entry of 1.25?
LiveOak Posted September 11, 2002 Posted September 11, 2002 The default separator may depend upon the language/regionalized version of FM you are using. In layout mode, the separators can be changed by selecting the field, going to the Format Menu...Number option and changing the separator. -bd
LTQ Posted September 11, 2002 Author Posted September 11, 2002 Thanks for the reply. In the number format window I have the number set as a decimal with 2 fixed decimal digits and with a decimal separator of "." - but I can't enter a number unless it has a comma and not a "." Any ideas?
Anatoli Posted September 11, 2002 Posted September 11, 2002 Again -- FM is taking that from OS. And validates that as well. You are just setting DISPLAY format, not the entry format. HTH
