Enter Data

Hi All

I have a beginning question about ..I use the laptop and when I press enter in the text field ...it does not go to another line and it freezes.

When I use my pc ..it works fine ...Someone has the same problem?

Well on many laptops there is no "enter" key, regardless of what it may say on the keypad. Most often this is the "return" key, which is a standard ASCII character key for the carriage/paragraph return. This could be the problem.

I have en "enter"key on my laptop. I did not understand what you mean by return key . CAn you say something more clear so that I could follow

Enter key signals to computer -- Hey I am done, it is your turn. It is the far right bottom key.

Return key is like on typewriter, it is returning the carriage back to left side.

FileMaker is the only application on Windows to interpret those 2 correctly. All other applications are interpreting Return as Enter.
