Best method of using FM

Hi

Can some one tell me whats the best way to connect 3 seperate artwork studios

around the country to access a single database in one of the studios.

It will be used by about 20 users through out the day.

All Macintosh users with FM6 and FM Server running of a iMac.

We are looking at a 2 channel iSDN line or 500k ADSL supplied by BT.

How many simultaneous users? If no more than a few (say less than 10 users), I would suggets using Timbuktu and a couple of spare workstations on the server side. This will be your best bet. Inexpensive machines such as 7500 series Macs are often free and make excellent machines for Timbuktu.

It depends on the tasks.

Timbuktu, VNC, Windows Terminal services will work.

Maybe even over the web and web serving.

Or separating the data and presentation layers.

Or any combination.

Hi

Thanks for replying.

There should be 7-8 users connecting to the database at one time.

We will be connecting the 2 users in each of the small offices to the main building using BT's Broadband business 500 and iSDN2. (using Transmission Manager v6)

The main building will have BT's Broadband business 500 connected to a new dual G4 running Transmission Manager v6 connected to 100mbit switch. The Database is on a iMac running Filemaker Server (latest version).
