Open Url error

Featured Replies

Now I thought I had this working but......

I have a button triggering a simple script:

Open Url [no dialog, "Website"]

where "Website" is a field containing a single Url per record. The browser opens fine and then I get this (Windows?) error message:

"Cannot find the file 'http://www[name of website]' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and file name are correct and that all required libraries are available."

In every case the website opens fine behind this increasingly annoying message. Any ideas please? FM 5.5, W2KPro, Netscape 6.2 (which seems to open by default, in preference over IE, though I'm unaware of having selected this).

Is the URL simple, e.g. "http://www.domain.com" or more complex, e.g. "http://www.domain.com/mydir/hworld.cgi?var1=xyz"?

If it is more complex, try the simple URL and see if the error still occurs.

Good Luck.

Thanks Garry (you're up late!)

They're all simple domain home pages.
